Mini Room Tour 2020
Friday, March 27, 2020 • Welcome to our home
Hey guys! Missed me?
Been on a blogging hiatus for more than a year! I kind of regret I haven't blogged anything for 2019. Really though, 2019 wasn't such a good year for me. But glad I'm back on track now. Hopefully, I'll be consistent this time.
Changed the blog name yet again. Baby-ik Diaries will always have a special place in my heart, but I realized how most of my blogs are of my thoughts and personal life... so I'll just name the blog "Alyssanity" again. I wonder if anyone noticed the re-rebranding?
I don't think I have readers who still visit this blog... but hey, this space is for keepsake anyway so that doesn't really matter, right? But if anyone still stuck with me even after being MIA for a long while, I want to say thank you for staying. Choss!
Anyway, starting a 2020 blog post with a homemaking blog. I've lived with by-ik for about three years now, and I'm happy to say we now have a place we could call our own. We have actually been living here for more than a year already... and managed to have it renovated so we have our own kitchen and bathroom. It's officially our home!
Having said that, I have been spending most of my time decorating our room and doing crafts while this community quarantine is ongoing. Tough times, and I'm undoubtedly scared, but I have to stay positive for my own sake and mental health.

Anyway, just to give you a little background. I used to sell pixie lights, fairy clips, and letter boards months ago. And I managed to save three letter boards for myself. A large white board, a black board, and a smaller pink one. So, I've been wanting to hang one of my letter boards on this empty wall above the bed, but then randomly decided I wanted shelves put up instead. Last-minute impulse... very Alyssa. Glad by-ik’s free to help me out. He did most of the work while I watched and cheered him drill those holes πΈπ» I decorated the shelves myself tho π Not quite happy with how “my decor” turned out but this will do for now. π₯°
Let me show you how the this area looked before there were shelves.

Our DIY open closet
Notice how full of colors by-ik's wardrobe is, while mine's mostly just neutral.
Placed my books on top of this drawer. But I had this rearranged now.
Apart from this, I have also managed to tidy up the room a bit. Organized our DIY open closet and displayed some of my books on top of this repurposed drawer. I just DIY-ed that drawer, by the way. Used floral wallpaper, and installed the handles. It was an impulsive DIY and I wasn't aware it would turn out more than just okay (for me, at least)... Wish I had documented the entire process.
A lot has actually changed with how our room looks as of this writing. I'll have all the changes documented in the next entries! Anyway, this turned out like a mini room tour. Nevertheless, I'm glad to have something to update this blog. :)
Photo Diary: Chasing Sunrise in Naga City Boardwalk
Thursday, August 30, 2018 • vacation
June 24, 2018 — The baby-ik and I had spontaneously planned on checking out Naga City Boardwalk very early in the morning. I mean, ever since bloggers, and friends started raving about the place, I've always wanted to go visit and see its splendor for myself.
But given the lack of time due to werk, and having quite a few difficulties on having our [by-ik and I] schedules meet halfway somehow, we couldn't really find the time. I know how petty this reason may seem to some, but really, sometimes, adulting has its own way of making easy peasy things complicated.
Perfect timing, though! I was on my rest day, and so was the baby-ik. At around 3am, we decided we wanted to go and chase the sunrise. What perfect place would it be, other than the Naga City Boardwalk?
Without hesitation, we jumped off the bed, took a quick bath and headed to the south! That's just how spontaneous it was!
Not gonna lie, this was already the third time I got to visit the place. First time was when my high school classmate helped me snap out of it (maoy days, circa 2013), and helped me find my nice peace and quiet.
The second time, I was with the baby-ik. We dropped by for a quick dinner after a day in Molave Milk Station, and Mantayupan Falls. (Yes, this is a shameless plug right here!) We got to stroll around the place, and devour some BBQ by the beach. You may not remember, but I did blog about that here.
I believe the boardwalk was still under construction during my second visit.
I believe the boardwalk was still under construction during my second visit.
Third time was this...
The kid within me was beaming with excitement and joy when I first stepped on the boardwalk. Childish for some, but that very moment I was just so happy! Like I said, I've always wanted to visit the place. I required for the visit to either be during the sunrise OR sunset! No in betweens! Though I'm leaning more towards the sunrise... I had been here before and I know how magical it would be if we could just catch the sunrise! I had been very particular about that with the baby-ik. Just didn't want to spoil the tranquil moment, knowing that the place has already been known to a lot, and an influx of people will be expected during the "in between."
We walked around, until we reached the other end. Baby-ik spotted a few guys fishing by the rocks. He seemed to enjoy watching them reel the fishes in, so I let him be.
I walked over to one of the bench facing the sea. There, I patiently waited for the sunrise. Later on, baby-ik sat down and waited with me.
And then, there it was! The oh-so-beautiful Mr. Sunrise!
It was such a majestic sight to behold. The ombre... the hues of the sky had as the sun light slowly shone through the whispy clouds signifying a new day... was just mesmerizing!
One of the best sunrise I've witnessed so far. Though, I never really witnessed a sunrise I didn't like. Have you? Each and every sunrise I've witnessed has always been glorious!
Enjoyed a cup of Taho!
This is definitely one of the most memorable ones though, because I was with the by-ik.
Fine, You Win This Argument!

Hey guys!
I really do not have much to share these past few weeks. Nothing interesting has happened, aside from random pigging out with the baby-ik which we can’t be bothered to document because it’s becoming more like a routine already, and we didn't want to bore you guys. Although, I feel like this blog is overall a bore to you...
Anyhow, I have something saved on my Flickr account that I thought I could share with you guys. Idk, I just feel like some of you might be interested as this is a DIY gift, and I’d love to have something added up on our “Crafts" tab.
This is a gift I made for the baby-ik from... I believe our 3rd monthsary. Haha! I wrote him a letter out of a heart-shaped craft paper, which I made into a make-shift mini envelope for the monthsary coupons. I even added a vintage-y stamp I bought from WitchEngine, and used a calligraphy pen for the lines, and our names. These are coupons the baby-ik could use ONCE A DAY.
His favorite and the most abused coupons of all would be the "Fine You Win This Argument" coupon, and the Back scratch coupon. Sometimes, he'd use the Wildcard coupon as either of these two. π π
I have like a couple more ideas in mind as monthsary gifts, but sometimes I do not have the time and liberty to make it all happen, especially that we both have different working schedules. But as much as possible, I would really love to share the bits and pieces of the crafts I come up with. I hope you liked this as much as I enjoyed making this, though.
Disclaimer: This idea was inspired by a Pinterest post I randomly stumbled into.
